ABOUT
José Homer Mora Acosta, a Honduran Sound-engineer, chief/operator and Sound-Mixer, professor at Cinema Schools (regulary at Altos de Chavón, INTEC in Dominican Republic, and Occasionally Supervisor in Sound Practices at EICTV in Cuba) Born 25 July 1988 in Tegucigalpa, M.D.C., Studied Ad & Communication in UNITEC, Laurate Universities, then went to Cuba for Cinema and Sound Studies at the EICTV.
His primary occupation is the authenticity of Sound: above all he likes building the whole universe of sound of one film, through every stage from production to post production sound-mixing. His work has been presented in several Film Festivals such as Rotterdam Film Festival, Berlin International Film Festival, Toulouse Latin America Film Festival, FID Marseille, Lima Latin American Film Festival, Bildrausch Filmfest Basel.
He has work experience in different countries including México, Costa Rica, Honduras, Cuba, Dominican Republic, and has created Sound Design for Several Short-films filmed in Cuba during Abbas Kiarostami and Werner Herzog Workshops, and also Several Full Length Films including "Todos Somos Marineros" by Miguel Angel Moulet, "Holy Beasts" by Laura Amelia Guzman & Israel Cárdenas, "I Vetri Tremano" by Alessandro Focareta.
He is also a Founding Member of STEMS GROUP SRL, (San Tranquilino Editors, Mixers and Sound Recordists) and the ADSC (Sound Association of Dominican Republic).
José Homer Mora Acosta, Sonidista Hondureño, Director de Sonido y Mezclador, Catedrático en Escuelas de Cine, Regularmente en Altos de Chavón en República Dominicana y Asesor de Ejercicios en la EICTV en Cuba. Nació un 25 de julio de 1988 en Tegucigalpa, M.D.C., Estudió Comunicación y Publicidad en UNITEC (Laurate Universities), Luego viaja a estudiar Cine con Especialidad en Sonido en la Escuela Internacional de Cine y T.V. de San Antonio de los Baños, EICTV, Cuba.
Su principal ocupación es la búsqueda de un Sonido Auténtico, pero sobre todo busca construir todo el universo sonoro en la Película, pasando por todas sus etapas desde el Registro sonoro hasta la Mezcla Final. Su trabajo ha sido audiovisto en diferentes Festivales de Cine alrededor del mundo como Rotterdam Film Festival, Berlin International Film Festival, Toulouse Latin America Film Festival, FID Marseille, Lima Latin American Film Festival, Bildrausch Filmfest Basel.
Ha tenido experiencias laborales en diferentes países incluyendo, Honduras, México, Costa Rica, Cuba y República Dominicana, Diseñado Sonido para Cortometrajes, entre ellos algunas piezas realizadas durante el Taller Filmando en Cuba con Abbas Kiarostami y el Taller Filmando en Cuba con Werner Herzog, además La Maestría de Cine Ensayo de la EICTV, y Largometrajes incluyendo "Todos Somos Marineros" by Miguel Angel Moulet, "Holy Beasts" by Laura Amelia Guzman & Israel Cárdenas, "I Vetri Tremano" by Alessandro Focareta.
Es además miembro Fundador de STEMS GROUP SRL (San Tranquilino Editores y Mezcladores Sonoros) y la ADSC (Asociación Dominicana de Sonidistas Cinematográficos).
